My heart has never let me down. All I have to do is listen, go forth and get out of my own way.

I’m writing this on the plane on the way back from California where I attended a seminar/workshop with Bo Eason. It was called your Personal Story Power.
The main thing we learned over the three days was to break down a defining moment into one sentence and share that on the stage in front of the audience.
Now I have five that will all be part of my book that is a common thread in my life, that will help me share spiritual fitness to the world in the way it needs to be expressed. For this exercise I wanted to start with #1. The first time I heard the voice.
This is what I said on stage.
At age 12 baseball was everything. I gave up the winning hit in the Little League World Series, when I walked off the mound I heard the most profound voice say “I’m preparing you.” When I left that mound and left the stadium, I went up to Keith Jackson to autograph my baseball mitt. “Hi, Mr. Jackson can you please autograph my mitt?” His response as he grabbed my mitt to sign: “Forte you have a lot of heart.” At that moment I knew that’s where that voice came from.
My heart has never let me down. All I have to do is listen, go forth and get out of my own way.
This is why I have created a spiritual fitness practice that incorporates daily disciplines and rituals for Body, Mind and Spirit.
On December 25, 2014, I heard that most profound voice say write. When I put pen to paper this is what came out. Write Book, Website with blog, radio show.
At the time I didn’t know what it meant but got clarity later at yoga class. While laying in shavasana I heard the voice say you now have the name of your book Humble Warrior, You now have the name of your blog and radio show Humble Warrior, go forth and do this in order to heal, grow and share your light with the world.
I have spent the past year working on a proposal to win a book publishing contest with Hay House. I recently found out my book wasn’t selected.Well, it’s no surprise to me at all why Hay House didn’t select my book proposal!
This has nothing to do with Hay House and has everything to do with me not listening to my heart.
The voice said “Write A Book” not do a book proposal. I let my head (mind) get in the way and try to control this process. This is when I shoot myself in the foot.
The podcast and blog are up. When I get home I’ll be writing this book as my total mission. By taking this action everything will start opening up big time. How do I know that? I just got clarity on my one defining sentence that sums up my whole life to date and for the rest of my life.
It’s in the Heart where God Speaks.
Live Brave,
Chris
